When CMS schools are closed due to inclement weather, MusicalMinds will not meet. If students are dismissed early due to inclement weather, MusicalMinds students should take their regular bus home or follow car pool pick up procedures. If school is not dismissed early, but after school extracurricular activities are cancelled, then MusicalMinds students should take their regular bus home or follow car pool pick procedures. Parents may want to write a note to their child’s teacher clarifying that he/she should be sent home on the bus or will be picked up in the car pool line on such days. Parents may not receive an email regarding extracurricular cancellations and should follow notices on the CMS website or on TV.

Anyone who has seen the MusicalMinds Musicians perform knows that our students excel in the realm of the performance venue. Following the second nine weeks grading period, it is now evident that our stage performers also perform well in the classroom. An additional five students have joined the A/B Honor Roll at their respective schools.
Keep up the great work!
Recently, all three of our 5th graders who auditioned for Charlotte's prestigious Northwest School of the Arts were granted admission to the Middle School Strings Program for the 2017-2018 Academic Year. Congratulations to these incredible musicians; we wish you the best next year at Northwest!

MusicalMinds finally made it to Raleigh and it was such an amazing time! The organization Kidz Notes hosted this winter musical event and students showcased all of their many musical talents. MusicalMInds students played violin and helped end the show with a round of Christmas carols! Some of the students were nervous because this was their first time performing in front of an audience of about 200 people! The audience showed such support and acknowledgement for the hard work of the young musicians.
